Long time no speak, hope you're well Just thought I'd stop by, seeing as though you've uploaded some new artwork. There are some other paintings I hadn't seen until now and I must say, you've done some lovely stuff recently! There's some incredible diversity in your portfolio now and it's great to see you're able to adapt and change styles whilst retaining an incredibly high standard in all disciplines.
Funny that you did a concept pic of a female character after playing The Club. Not sure if you know of him, but a good friend called Lee Carter did a load of character concept artwork for it. Really nice chap and a fantastic artist
Anyhow, ain't it about time you won one of those CGAward thingies? Enough rambling from me, all the best!
Great work Sam, it is very cool to see how much diversity you have here. I really love what you have done with the watercolors, very nice. Any publishing leads on your novel? Stay cool.
Ta for the message and congrats on landing a job with Jagex, I'm sure life in Cambridge will be great! I think the games industry is excellent for gaining experience, so long as you're not having to work ridiculous hours on silly deadlines (which unfortunately, I have plenty of experience with).
As for me, I'm busy working on a new game with VooFoo Studios and I'm finding it really enjoyable. However, sadly, I haven't done any 2D painting for around a year now! I've been doing mainly 3D work which is how I started in the industry. It's been great getting to grips with it again and I'm looking forward to showing some 3D work as soon as the game is officially announced and all that.
Best of luck with the move Sam, sincerely hope it goes well!
OMG , Samantha! I know you from PixelBrush, but i had never visited your gallery here. Today I saw it and i still can't belive, there's lots of work here that i already know for some time! The rembrandt copy, for exemple, I remember watchin the posts but i never realised it was you! That's awesome, I love it all, and I hope to se more stuff from you soon.see ya. Igor
